Fifth and sixth grades are practicing the classroom objects in Spanish. Sixth graders are asking and answering questions about them as well. Seventh graders are preparing pie charts this week to indicate the numbers of people who have certain subjects as their favorites. We are integrating some math skills into our Spanish classes with this activity. The next test will be on Unidad 2, Etapa 3. Students will be able to use the outline they have completed as an aid during this test. We have combined outlining skills with learning Spanish for this activity.
Eighth grade: Working individually or with a partner students will create a presentation which they may present in a variety of ways. Topics include the Aztecs, Incas, Mayas or other early civilizations. Benchmark deadlines have been set so that students will not leave the project until the last minute. A rubric has been provided so that students will be able to construct their presentations in meaningful ways. Exam on 4 irregular verbs (saber, conocer, hacer, oir) on Day 4 this week.
