Coach Stack’s Class 8th Grade Language Arts Pirate Team Course Syllabus Welcome back to school for the 2012 school year! Absent Student Policy It is YOUR responsibility to come to me and get all needed work. Work will be turned into the late work box AFTER you tell me that you have just turned it in for me to check. You will be informed by me as far as how much time for each assignment is allowed to turn your work in. Student Needs for Class Policy Each day, all students must bring a pen or pencil, highlighter, Language Arts Binder, Spiral Notebook, Agenda, and Language Arts Book. Anything extra needed that day will be posted outside of my door daily. Grading Participation (25%) This grade is given on a daily basis. Tests/Projects (50%) These will be given throughout Units and as a Summative at the end of each unit Quizzes (15%) These will be given throughout the year, announced as well as POP Quizzes Homework (10%) Homework will be given as needed to improve skills Extra Credit Policy Extra Credit will be given to those who finish work early and go to the box in the room which has activities for students to do in order to receive extra credit. |
