November 9-13

Reading:
Our book for the week is  Follow the Leader. Our letter for the week is F.  We are going to practice writing and making the letter sound for f.  Our vocabulary words are position words.  Our new high-frequency words are I and am.  We will continue to write in our journals and practice writing our names correctly and letters correctly.

 SOL: k.2and 3

Math:

This week we will continue working on writing and recognizing numbers one through ten.  We will discuss numbers on a number line and fill in missing numbers.  We will use data from a graph to make conclusions.

SOL: k.2,4,5,8

Social Studies/Science:

This week we are going to explore items that float and items that sink.  We will make a predictions and then test items to see if they sink  or float.  During the week, we will explore different fruits and objects that sink and float.  It is going to be an exciting week!
