In social studies, students will learn about:

~WRITING~

We will be preparing your child for the 4th grade state writing test. Third grade students will take a local county writing test in March. Students will learn to focus their stories on one topic, as well as add detail to make it interesting.

In reading, students will be transitioning from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." We will cover many genres and skills this year in order to prepare students for the end-of-year state reading test. From fairy tales, realistic fiction, non-fiction, & novels--we will read it all!
