Bits & Bytes

Please check this web site for computer happenings. I will communicate monthly as to the projects students are working on. When there are assignments, quizzes, tests and project due dates, I will post more frequently.

The students have been busy.

Grade 1 ~ Students are working on software to improve their math skills. We are currently working on addition and subtraction skills.

Grades 2 - Students will be learning how to type a story about themselves using a writing program.

Grade 3 - We're making steady progress on our keyboarding.  Our fingers are now more comfortable on "homerow". We've learned about 10 letters now.

Grade 4 - We are continue to work on our keyboarding skills.

Grade 5 - We are having fun writing limericks. We will then type them in a "Word" document.

Grade 6 - We have begun working on our PowerPoint project, "All About Me"

Grade 7 - We are putting the finishing touches on our Movie Maker project. We will then share them with the class.

Grade 8 - We have been working on setting up a footnote and bibliography document. This exercise was to be completed in class by Feb. 7th and printed out. We will be going over these corrected documents on Feb. 14th.  FINAL COPY OF TERM PAPER IS DUE TO MR. MAYER ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH.

Assignments:

5th Grade - Finish Limerick worksheet and bring to class on Feb. 13th

6th Grade - Bring a baby picture to scan and complete story board for Powerpoint project

7th Grade - none

8th Grade - Bring in photos to scan for the slide presentation.
