PROJECT 2 Develop a booklet for assigned Spanish-Speaking country
Blocks 1 and 3 – Due on Thursday, December 18, 2008 Blocks 2, 4, and 7 – Due on Friday, December 19, 2008 Oral Presentations will take place on Monday, January 5, 2009 and Tuesday, January 6, 2009
The project will count for 2 test grades: -Booklet -Oral presentation Booklet 1. Using the alphabet, you will find information about the country Example: A- - Architecture You will write at least 1 paragraph about each topic. One page is one topic, so there should be 26 separate pages. 2. The first page of the booklet is to be a map of the country. You may get it from the internet or draw it, but the map must show all bordering countries and bodies of water. 3. The cover of the booklet must reflect the following information: Your name Your block number Name of the country Small map of the country Make the cover very colorful…have fun with it! 4. Your booklet must also include at least 5 pictures that reflect the culture and beauty of the country.
Oral Presentation You must talk about aspects of your assigned country that you feel are important for your classmates to know about. You should also have some pictures to pass around. Your pictures must be at least 8 ½ x 11 or larger in size. You must also be able to answer questions that your classmates may have. For extra credit (10 points), you must say 2 sentences in Spanish about your country. The sentences must be grammatically correct. You can get help with this during tutoring on Thursdays.
