We are working extremely hard on the objectives in the Standard Course of Study. Reading in the content area is stressed in this program,, and I highly recommend that all students in this program read every night. Whether it be homework that is assigned or the newspaper, they need to read a minimun of 20 minutes. Teading is the key to success. The students have been working on phonics skills in a program called Language. The Language program is a research program that has shown excellent results. Each student should incease his/her reading level significantly if they work hard this year.

Attendance is extremely imortant to be successdful in any school program. Please make sure your son'daughter is rested and in school every day. We need to work together for the students to be succcessful.

A project will be assigned every Tuesday and due the following Tuesday. A parent/guardian signature is required on the project. Please ask your son/daughter for the project sheet every week as a reminder. Homework will also be sent home periodically in Math and Science during the week.
