Math and Science
Math- Currently in math we are studying  numeration, which encompasses many things. Here are some vocabulary words that we are currently reviewing.
  1. value- what a number is representing, example:    627,987  the value of the 2 is 20,000 because it is in the ten thousands place
  2. standard form- when you write a number, example :  128,699
  3. word form- when you write a number in words, example:  three hundred thirty two thousand forty-two
  4. expanded form- when you add the values, example  300,000 + 20,000 + 5,000 + 800 + 60 + 9

Make sure that you are studying your addition facts.  We will have a timed test every Friday.  Funbrain has a lot of fun math games.

 

We currently do not have PI ready for use, but it is coming soon!
