 This month we are reading stories about plants and seeds. Many activities have been completed with seeds including making a seed collage, sorting seeds, cutting out healthy foods and making a tambourine filled with seeds. We have looked at pictures of plants especially the pumpkin vines.Be sure to count, count, count. Remind your child to put their finger on each item as they are counting. Our goal is to count to twenty and recognize numbers 1 - 10!  We are learning the sounds of each letter. Our goal is to know the sounds of each letter of the alphabet by the end of the year. As we work on a letter each week, we say the letter sound and name. We are also working on learning the letters of our names. Our class will be using the Reading it Again curriculum to explore the book The Little Red Hen in the coming weeks. In addition to reading the book we will play matching games with the animals, put the pictures in order and discussed the similarities and differences of the animals.
