This year in reading the children will have weekly spelling words and vocabulary words. They will have weekly spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension tests. We will also have nightly homework assignments. In addition to written homework the children are expected to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night Our reading curriculum is challenging. The students are now expected to make inferences and judgements. They will no longer just recall details.
