Welcome !



Granite Quarry Elementary is a Response to Intervention (RtI) school. With IDEA 2004 Reauthorization, each school district ( LEA) can decide to either use the discrepancy model or a processing model to determine eligibility or "entitlement" for Special Education services. The key to RtI is progress monitoring and making educational decisions based on DATA, which in turn drives direct instruction, scientifically based, peer reviewed interventions.


If you have any questions, call the school and ask for a conference and more information.

Tips for Parents

IEP Progress Reports will be sent out with classroom Report Cards. 
Be aware of your rights as stated in the Handbook of Parent's Rights.
 (you will receive the new handbook at your next IEP meeting)
Be familiar with the goals on your child's IEP. 
Be a part of your child's success. 
Ask questions!
