Mrs. Walillian Kennedy White 7th Grade Exceptional Children's Teacher  WELCOME TO THE 2011/2012 SCHOOL YEAR This year, Knox Middle is using the Co-Teaching and Pull-Out Model to service our Exceptional Children students.  What is Co-teaching? Co-Teaching is a classroom with two teachers. The Regular Education Teacher and an Exceptional Children's (EC)Teacher. The Regular Education Teacher provides the core subject knowledge and the EC Teacher provides the specialized instruction that is required according to a student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We strive to meet and exceed the student's IEP goals. What is Pull-out? Pull-out is where the Exceptional Children's student receives all of their instruction in Language Arts or Math in the Exceptional Teacher's Classroom for more individualized instruction in compliance with the student's IEP. My Schedule 8:41-9:46am Co-Teaching L. Arts w/Miss Heim(Rm 502) 9:49-10:54am Co-Teaching Math w/Mr. Washington (Rm 716) 10:57-12:32pm Pull-Out L. Arts (Rm 703) Lunch 11:35-12:00pm 12:35-1:40pm Co-Teaching L. Arts w/Mrs. Sauve-Smith(Rm 711) 1:44-3:30pm Planning Parents are always welcome into my classroom.
