Dear Parents and Students, Our Social Studies class is continuing to explore Latin America. During the next few days we will look at Latin American cultures. We are saying "cultures" instead of "culture" because many groups have made contributions to the richness and diversity of Latin America. As your child learns about the customs of people in Latin America, you might point out customs that your family has. Ask your child about special projects that he or she is doing in class. Have your child tell you about the ethnic groups who contribute to Mexican, Central American, Caribbean, and South American culture. Mr. Jon Barber |
