Dear Parents,
We have learned position words, sorting, classifying, and making patterns. Our next chapter will be about understanding concepts of more, fewer, one-to-one correspondence, and numbers 0-5. We will continue morning meeting. This is where we learn about the calendar, learn the days of the week and months of the year. We also work on our counting skills, graph our weather, and count money. (sol 1,2a,2b,2c,3,5, 12,29 ) In reading, we have finished letter recognition, and we will now begin to explore each letter and its sound. Our story for this week is titled Mouse Mess by Linnea Riley. Our letter of the week is Mm. High frequency words, a and the, will be introduced. We will be working on the comprehension skill of recall/retell. (sol 3,4,8) Just a reminder that the children are permitted to bring a healthy snack. Our lunch time is quite late and the children have been hungry.
