September, 2009 Welcome back everyone!!! I'm extremely excited to teach 1st graders at Blue Bell Elementary this year! I hope you all had a fantastic summer. I'm really looking forward to getting to know this year's group of students and helping them have the best first grade year possible. A large portion of the first couple weeks will be spent on the following key goals: 1. Expressing and sharing of yourself to let people get to know you better 2. Getting to know your classmates 3. Learning how to resolve conflict 4. Strategies on how to work well with classmates of all different abilities, appearances, opinions, etc. 5. How to get and stay organized with our learning materials 6. Learning the social and academic routines of the classroom and school Parents, please be on the lookout for an invitation for you to write a "Letter of Introduction" to me about your child.
