![]() Welcome to Mrs. Perry's Notes for AIG Students and Parents _____________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________ FYI PARENTS We have just completed 2 weeks of EOG SWARMING: Students are prepared for the EOG tests and have demonstrated the knowledge necessary to perform well. My concern at this time is applying the strategies learned. AIG students tend to be overly confident! Please remind your child in order to do their best they must apply testing strategies. I have seen careless errors. Mostly misreading the passage, not going back to verify the correct answer, and skipping problems. I believe in them and I know you do as well! _____________________________________________ 4th & 5th Grade Math- Parents you can have your child go to Khan Academy and Mr. Nussbaum's website to practice skills. NCDPI has resources that we use in class to practice for EOG testing. You can access these by googling NCDPI EOG test prep questions. ____________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ 4TH AND 5TH GRADE Language Arts/Reading- LEGO Robotics was a huge success. We had a great time creating a new solution to a problem in a Dr. Seuss story. Students adapted their LEGO builds and modified the build to solve a problem in the story. They built a catapult to throw a character over the wall of Solla Sollew. The character was caught on a basket and lowered safely into the city. ___________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________ Nurturing Through: Problem Based Learning - What a great year with k-3 classes. I loved visiting your classrooms and learning with you. ________________________________ _______________________________________________ Together in teaching, Sonya Perry _____________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Disclaimer: Linked sites are not under the control of the school district or its employees.
