Mrs. Gearhart's Homework Place Be sure to visit the homework sites of both Mrs. Ekstrom for math homework and Mrs. Schultz for language arts and social studies homework. The three of us all work with your 4th graders. Mrs. Ekstrom, Mrs. MacKinnon and I work with the 3rd graders. Week of Dec.12-16 Third Grade Homework
Objective: The students will examine, compare, contrast, and categorize examples of rocks and minerals as we continue our new unit of study. PLEASE HELP! We need cardboard (not styrofoam) egg cartons to hold our samples of rocks and minerals. These should be the kind that hold 1 doz. eggs, please. As you do your Christmas baking and use the eggs, please send the cartons to us. Just send them to school with your student. Thanks a million! FOURTH GRADE HOMEWORK Objective: The students will apply, the knowledge of circuits and switches they have learned by wiring a "4-room house" with appropriate lighting. To be successful the lights must come on when the switch is turned on and go off when the switch is turned off. If this does not happen at first, students will be allowed to "troubleshoot" to solve the problem before being graded on their work. These are really beginning to come together now! Don't forget, Thursday is Pajama Day in 3rd and 4th grade. Your student will also need to bring a pillor and a great book to read. Thanks.
