Welcome to Mr. Laraia's Class for the 2008-2009 School Year!!

Welcome back!  We have had a busy few months here in Room 27!  We have been working on improving our writing during Writers Workshop.  The students are collecting writing pieces of their own and working really hard to go through the stages of writing.  I have been extremely pleased with their work. 

We just finished Unit 4 in math which centered around division. 

We wrapped up our latest Science unit, Soggy Paper.  We have completed 3 units in Science: Mystery Powders, Soggy Paper, and Move It!

Progress Reports are coming home on Friday, December 5.  Conferences will be held the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Please contact me if you cannot make the conference or if you are not aware of the date and time for your child's conference with me. 

Sturbridge Village field trip is set for Dec. 17.  Details to folllow!
