Monday 10-12 - Write a story about the photo analyzed 2 weeks ago using the narrative timeline.  Start Explorer stations. Homework tonight - find and analyze a political cartoon. 

Tuesday 10-13 - Turn in a recent political cartoon.  Continue stations.

Wednesday 10-14 - Finish stations. 

Thursday 10-15 - Jeoprady. 

Friday 10-16 - Final Explorer Test.

Monday 10-05 - Watch Pizzaro film.  Essential Question:  How did the difference between the European/Asian continent and the continent of North and South America effect the development of civilizations?

Tuesday 10-06 - 2 map activities.  Climate and Percipitation and Exploring Our Country 4.  Turn in at the end of the hour.

Wednesday 10-07 - Linking the Past to the Present charting gold activity.

Thursday 10-8 - Students will be going to the computer lab after roll is taken and will be given instruction on how to use Google Aps.  This replaces the Gaggle accounts.  Bring gold chart to the lab, as an activity using it is planned.  5::00 pm - 7:45 pm are parent teacher conferences.

Friday 10-9 - Parent Teacher conferences from 8:30  until 5:45 with a break for lunch TBA.

 

Monday 9-28 - Finish Native American Presentations.  Homework - per 1, Summarize a news article for Tuesday.  Period 2, summarize a news article for Tuesday and analyze a political cartoon for Thursday.

Tuesday 9-29 - Turn in News Summary at the beginning of class.  Silent Reading.  Explorer pre-test.

Wednesday 9-30 - Eagle's nest.  Start Reading Ch 2, take notes on foldable.

Thursday  10-1 - per 2, 3, & 4 turn in Political Cartoons at beginning of class.  Silent Reading.  Complete notes on Ch 2.  Start stations.

Friday 10-2 - Continue Stations. 

Monday 9-21 - Students start silent reading in History/Language Arts.  Bring novel for enjoyment reading.  Notebook check.  Mini activities.  1) take regions notes in notebook, 2) read and summarize an article on smallpox then summarize, 3) Read and discuss the article "Broken Promise".  Students also will be setting up a 365 day calander "On This Day in History."

Tuesday 9-22 - Stations - Station 1) Photo analysis, Station 2) Narrative timeline, Station 3) edit an essay "The Apache" and Station 4) Primary Source reading.

Wednesday 9-23 - Eagle's nest - shortened content classes.  Finish Stations started on Tuesday.

Thursday 9-24 - NATIVE AMERICAN PROJECTS DUE - Start presentations.

Friday 9-25 - Finish presentations.
