Welcome to the St. Rose Resource site. My name is Cheryl Knee and I provide resource help for students in kindergarten through grade eight. I also work with the first and second grade teachers and their students on guided reading programs. I am at school Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Students needing resource help are referred by classroom teachers. A student need not have an IEP to receive resource assistance. I work with students individually and in small groups depending on their needs. Some of my resource work is conducted in the classroom as inclusion.

Another school year has begun. My first few weeks have been filled with assessments, greeting former students, meeting new students,working on schedules, and conferring with teachers regarding the needs of their pupils. Assessments of the first graders to determine guided reading levels are complete and the guided reading groups have been established. I will be working with one group from each first grade classroom for 30 minutes a day each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My schedule for assisting students in other grades is tentatively set and I have been working in a number of classrooms and in some cases working with individual students or small groups with specific needs.
