Classroom Newspaper We have begun our study of newspapers. We have looked at various newspapers for format, style, sections etc. We have read and reviewed many articles. Each student is required to submit a minimum of 2 articles for the classroom newspaper in two sections of their choosing. They will also have to edit other students' articles. Students who choose to take on additional roles will have the opportunity to be section editors, photographers, design editors, chief editors, etc. Students are to have completed an outline and will have to have completed their 2 rough drafts by Thursday, Dec 18. The students writing articles can either do them on the computer (I have booked 2 periods of library/computer research for Tues & Wed) or by hand. The comic strip authors can do it also via computer or by hand. Having their rough drafts in on Thursday for peer editing will be assessed for completion and students will determine their mark of 5 for each submission. ** the articles should be approximately 400 words each. |
