·         Reading – we will be working on the story “The Statue of Liberty.”  Our test will be Wednesday and Thursday.

·         Spelling – we are on week 6. Please make sure that spelling sentences: start with a capital letter, each sentence should start with a different word, end with a punctuation mark and have five at least five different words in the sentence.   Our spelling test will be on Thursday. 

·         Grammar – we will be working on abbreviations.  

·         Academic Vocabulary – we will have our final academic vocabulary test on

Friday, April 29^th. Children currently have both lists to study for their test.  One list is stapled in their homework folder and the other list should be at home.

·       We will be working on multiplying by 1 digit numbers.

·         We will also have a test on understanding fractions (Chapter 25) and adding and subtracting fractions (Chapter 26).  The test will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
