                        Welcome 4C and 4D
Please remember school opens at 7:00 and the tardy bell rings at 7:25. Being on time and prepared helps make for a good
day.

What a Pleasure- This year has honestly been one of the most awesome years of my teaching career.  I was able to watch so many of these kids grow and really take their education into their own hands.  They have blown my socks off with their effort, dedication, and buy in to my wacky methods of teaching.  I know it hasn't all been kicks and giggles, but I hope that you have seen my heart is in the right place and EVERYTHING I do is in an effort to better your children.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing these wonderful young people with me this year.  Please keep in touch.  I would love to be able to continue watching them play their sports/after school activities and hear about all of their many successes.  Enjoy your summer!

                                   -Ms. Clouser

Summer Bridge Workbooks- Students were given a Summer Bridge workbook that should be completed over the summer.  The workbook is broken down into three sections.  Section one reviews fourth grade skills, section two reviews fourth grade skills while integrating fifth grade skills, and section three completely introduces fifth grade skills.  The workbook focuses on all subjects as well as has a fitness portion included.  In the back of the workbook premade flashcards are provided to help students with certain skills.  The book is easily formatted for  both students and parents to use and understand.  It tells you how many pages and activities to do on each day.  On average it takes about 30 minutes to complete each day's work.  Let's not let all this year's hard work go to waste during the summer.  Completing this workbook will have your student start off fifth grade feeling smart and confident.

Fines- Please check to make sure all fines are taken care of prior to next Monday.  Library, cafeteria, and any other school fees will need to be paid or students will not be given their report cards on Friday.  Report cards will be held in the office until fines are paid.  Thanks for your cooperation.

BIG THANKS...to Imani's moms from 4D and Mrs. Swanson from 4C for supplying their treats this Friday's Fabulous Friday Celebration.

If you are able to send in treats for Fabulous Friday, please contact your student's homeroom teacher to set up a date.

Congrats to 4D's "Hawk of the Week" (someone caught SOARing by of his/her classmates): ???.

Reminders:
*Social Studies and Science will be taught in alternating two week units.  They will never have assignments in both.

*It's very important your child comes to school prepared.  Please double check they have their agenda and two pencils before they leave the house.

*Please make sure your child is going to bed early.  A great night's sleep will only enhance their performance in the classroom.

* Please don't send your child to school sick.  They won't be able to focus long enough to gain anything and others may catch what they have.

*Thanks for checking agendas nightly.  What a great way to keep in touch with how your child's doing! Agendas are checked daily by teachers.  If you want to let us know something this would be a great place to do so.
