May 20, 2012 THIS IS THE LAST INFORMATION FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT HAS BEEN ADVISED TO ACT ACCORDINGLY DURING THE LAST FEW DAYS OF SCHOOL. EACH STUDENT SHOULD BE RESPECTFUL OF ALL TEACHERS AND FELLOW STUDENTS IN EVERYTHING THEY DO. NO HOMEWORK WILL BE ASSIGNED THIS WEEK. I HAVE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED TEACHING YOUR CHILD THIS YEAR. TEAM 7-2s SCIENCE STUDENTS SCORED AN 831 AVERAGE ON THE CRCT. THIS WAS ABOVE MUSCOGEE COUNTY AND THE STATE'S STANDARDS. THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO SCORE THE MINUMUM OF 800. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR COOPERATION IN STUDYING SO HARD. THANKS ALSO TO YOU, THE PARENTS, FOR SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD IN THEIR ENDEAVOR. I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING GREAT THINGS FROM OUR STUDENTS IN THE COMING YEARS. STUDENTS WILL CLEAN OUT THEIR LOCKERS ON WEDNESDAY AND WILL ONLY NEED TO BRING A PENCIL (PEN) AND PAPER WITH THEM TO CLASS AFTER THAT DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL TEXTBOOKS AND/OR LIBRARY BOOKS HAVE BEEN TURNED IN BY TUESDAY. BOOKBAGS AND NOTEBOOKS WILL NEED TO BE LEFT HOME AS STUDENTS WILL HAVE NO PLACE TO PUT THEM.
CURRENT CHAPTER BEING STUDIED: Students will continue to examine and discuss the human body and it's organization. An activity will be completed on Tuesday and Wednesday in which your student will recreate the human body, etc. Students will demonstrate how the bones, muscles, intestines, brain, and other parts are connected. Students will be turning in their Science books this week. Hopefully all books will be accounted for. If your child still has either of the CDs given to them earlier in the year, please make sure they also return those too. I recycle the CDs for next year. Thanks for your cooperation.
Please feel free to contact me at the below website or call the school. If at anytime you would like to have a conference, please call and ask for guidance and they will arrange a time which is convenient for you. George C.
