Tour Around the World Carnival Event

Everyone in our school has a passport that holds stamps that they will need for our tour around the world.  Weather permitting, this event will be held outside, or it will be in the gym.

Students that receive at least 100 stamps in their passports will be allowed to rotate through our carnival styled stations; and for every 5 stamps over 100, students will earn a ticket to use at the carnival.  There will be a free game at each station and some stations will have additional games and snacks where the students can spend their tickets.

The stamps that the students will be collecting are:

1 smiley face stamp for daily attendance.

1 smiley face stamp for weekly homework.

1 thumbs up stamp for extraordinary behavior.    (For example: bus, car line, hallways, bathroom, cafeteria, and special area classes, etc.)

The dates for the carnival:

Pre-K, 1st , and 2nd -  June 4

3rd, 4th, and 5th -  June 5

~~**NEW**~~

Discipline Calendar

We have recently changed our discipline policy.  Instead of using their money cards to take away money for poor choices I have decided to have a separate chart for strictly those choices.  The students will still have their money so they can earn money towards the auction at the end of each month.  The discipline calendars are here to show the students how many times a day they are breaking a rule or not making a wise choice.  Every time a student breaks a rule or makes a poor choice they have to go remove their card from a pocket on the wall and bring it to me and write down the corresponding number for their action.  This keeps the students accountable for their actions and they have to let me know which rule they broke, and the rules are conveniently placed next to their behavior calendars.

These calendars will be sent home on a weekly basis so you can see which rule has been broken and how many times a day.  The discipline calendars will be sent home for the week on the following Mondays.  I have been sending home weekly progress reports every Friday, those too will be coming home on the following Mondays with the discipline calendars for a parent signature and to be sent back the next day.
