Welcome to our Third Grade year! 

     We have gotten off to a terrific start to our third grade year so far!  My students are wonderful, well-mannered and hard-working!  We are now into the second 9 weeks of school.

     Thank you parents for signing those planners every night and checking to see that homework is completed.  Your child brought home their purple folder on Friday with their work for the week in it.  Please sign the Missing Work sheet, the Discipline card, and the Work Review note (this one has a place to write me a note if you want to).  

       Thanks to those of you who sent in your $10.00 treasury donation.  It is much appreciated.  If others of you could send it sometime soon, I would appreciate that.  We could also use Lysol/Clorox wipes and kleenex tissues for our classroom.

     Our class is privileged to have two ASU interns with us on Fridays until November and everyday after that until mid-December.  We are happy to have Miss Anna and Miss Kellie.

     Our school-wide behavior bucks program is going well.  On Monday the students were able to spend their bucks at the store or save them for another time.  Students can earn bucks for good behavior.  They can spend bucks at our school store every two weeks, or save them to purchase a more expensive prize.  We have been earning bucks every day!  It's exciting to the students to get their "pay" every day.

We have also started our Compliment Jar.  Whenever we are in the hall, restroom, or any other place, we are trying very hard to get compliments on our behavior in order to fill our jar with marbles.  When we reach our goal we will have a class reward, and then start filling it up again.  Our jar is looking good!

     We are having  a wonderful year in third grade!

This is our last week before Thanksgiving break.  Let's all remember everything we have to be thankful for.
