This is a wonderful way for teachers to communicate with parents and I believe as we all become acquainted with this new piece of technology we will all find it to be a valuable tool that helps us link school and home.
Upcoming Events and Classroom Happenings The students have worked so hard to create a book which has a table of contents and at least three chapters which contain different categories of information about their topic of choice. I am extremely proud of all their hard work! We will be honoring all of our hard work with an Author's Celebration when the students return from Spring Break. Excellent Eight Adopting the philosophy of Ron Clark (author of The Essential 55), C.C. Wright modified the 55 rules to the “Excellent Eight”. These expectations are a balance of manners, respect, discipline, compassion, and life skills. Excellent Eight 1. Support one another; always congratulate 2. Show respect to your classmates 3.Shake hands firmly; repeat person's name; 4. Respond to adults using "Yes m'am", 5. Do not show disrespect with 6. Make eye contact with the person who 7. Accept mistakes and learn from them. 8. Be the best you can be!
Passport To Adventure Our students are earning stamps to attend the "Tour Around the World Carnival Event"! Event: June 4th= Pre-K through Second A carnival setting (outside if weather permits or gymnasium) of stations for students to rotate Attendees: Students that receive at least 100 stamps in their passport Stamp Distribution:
Extra Incentives: For every 5 stamps above 100, students will earn a ticket to use at the carnival. There will be a free game at each station and some stations will have additional games and snacks where students can spend their tickets. VOLUNTEERS We will be needing volunteers to help create and prepare materials for the games and events that will be available for our carnival. If you think that you would be available to help prepare games or chaperone a station for the Tour Around the World Carnival, then please contact Pat Norman at 838-5513. She is at C.C. Wright on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. We appreciate your willingness to support this event.
