We celebrated National Anthem Day on Sept. 14.  The 5th graders led the school on a rousing rendition of the song on the morning announcements. Great Job!

We are learning now about reading music notation.  We are reading rhythms using a system called "Takadimi" and learning pitches by solfege (just like in the movie "The Sound of Music").  

The 4th grade will be using recorders in their study of music.  I will be sending home a letter soon.  I will also attach it on this schoolnotes page. The cost will be $4.00 and each student will need to have their own.   

The PTO is sponsoring a talent show on Dec. 15 at the Stone Center. 
3rd-5th graders are encouraged to particpate.  Be thinking about an act you would like to do.  I will be sending more information soon.
