We are currently working on the novel A Christmas Carol. Students will be reading both in school as well as at home. There will be a vocabulary test on Friday, December 12 and their final paper will be due Monday, December 22. Our fieldtrip to Trinity Rep will be on December 23.



When we return from vacation, we will be doing our next common assessment (response to literature). We will then begin a unit on persuasion.

Due Date: by Friday, January 9 (for inclusion in the final term grades)



You must submit proof of 2 books by this date.



Book #1- The Big Game – Follow the instruction sheet exactly as it is printed.



Book #2- An AR test /Reading Counts test OR book form OR book talk



Extra Credit – You will continue to earn 10 points of extra credit for each additional book you read above the goal for term two. The acceptable forms for this term are: AR tests, Reading Counts tests, book forms, or book talks.



The due dates are NOT NEGOTIABLE. There will be no excuses, extensions, or exceptions.
