English II
and American Literature
In both English II and American Literature, we will study material and practice skills as listed on the Georgia Performance Standards including literature, literary terms, vocabulary, writing, usage, research, etc. See http://www.doe.k12.ga.us/ for GPS as well as GHSGT and EOCT information and practice.
For this course you will need the following:
  • pens
  • pencils with erasers
  • paper
  • notebook
  • highlighters
  • inexpensive pocket dictionary (required for 10th grade; optional for 11th grade)
  • inexpensive hole punch (optional)
  • USB drive [thumb drive, flash drive] (optional)
  • tissues for cold/flu season(optional)
  • hand sanitizer for cold/flu season (optional)
Homework:
Study for Friday's voc. test 3.
 
Reminders:

 

Makeup Work:

All makeup work must be completed within five days of the excused absence. Absences over 5 days in a term require a principal's permission before further makeup work. Makeup work must be done before or after school.
