Sometimes you just feel left out. I feel left out when it comes to technology. Somebody on the radio was interviewing a singer, and they were talking about Skype (I'm not sure that is how you spell it)...I have now been introduced to the SmartBoard at school...And what is all this about tweeting on Twitter?  I don't even own a digital camera yet, and I probably couldn't use it right if I did. My brother got an I-Phone and he can buy Apps for it. His three year old daughter bought a game on his I-Phone without him knowing about it! I'm not sure I'd even know where to begin if I wanted to buy a game on my phone, and does my cell phone even have that ability? That stuff is almost all like a foreign language to me.

I remember in college when one of my professors told me that technology would develop so quickly in the future that by the time we would learn how to use it, something new would come out to replace it. I was kinda skeptical about that, but now what he said has come true! I'm barely able to type on Microsoft Word 2007 and email, much less text, or send pics on my cell phone.

Even though I am excited about all this new technology, I don't really have the time to learn about it. So, while you guys are Skyping and using your Apps on your I-phone, I'll probably still be writing letters by hand, calling people from my house phone, and watching movies and television ON my television. I feel so left out!

As you may or may not know, funding was cut this year, and so was my part-time position. I will miss the students at Addison and all of my co-workers. Maybe I'll see ya at a ballgame or somewhere...Take care and be good!!! Love, Mrs. White
