JANUARY-- 2012 Welcome to Mrs. Parks First Grade Class we are 'Wild About Learning' Dear Parents, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! I hope that everyone has had a restful and wonderful Winter Break. It is time to get back in the rountine of reading and doing homework. Science------The Season Winter--- We all hope for SNOW. Social Studies----Dr. Martin Lutrher King Math Review--- Addition and Subtraction Lessons 9-10-11 will give more practice. Math Stations ( Friday only) Math Journals (Daliy) Writing (Daily) Reading Stations (Daily) Theme for the Month: What is one of your Resolutions for the New Year? What is a Resoution? How do you keep a Resolution? Students will write small stories about one thing they want to change about themselves. How does a resolution become possible?  HOMEWORK (Subjects-Reading, Spelling, Writing and Math) Monday- 1. Students will have Mrs. Walton's Math Homework. 2. Write Spelling Words (3) times each. 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Tuesday 1. Write Spelling Words (3) times each. 2. Write a story about---What is my Resolution for this year---This year we will do 10 sentences. Make a good story. 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Wednesday 1.Write the spelling words in ABC Order. 2 Math worksheet-- Math worksheet---Addition Practice 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Thursday 1. Study our Spelling Words for our TEST on Friday. 2.Math worksheet--Subtraction Practice 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Friday 1.
