MARCH--2012 Welcome to Mrs. Parks' First Grade Class We are 'Wild About Learning' Dear Parents, HAPPY SPRING !!!!!! We are glad to see the beautiful weather that lets us know Spring is around the corner. Science------The Season Spring-- Social Studies----Animals that lays eggs and animals that hibernate. Math--- Review Addition and Subtraction. We will cover Lessons 14-15-16 --It includes Time and Measurement --We will measure things in our world. Math Journals (Daliy) Writing (Daily) Reading Stations (Daily) Theme for the Month: What do you like about Spring? How do you get ready for Spring? Students will write small stories about one thing they like or don't like about the season Spring. How do you and your family get ready for Spring?  HOMEWORK (Subjects-Reading, Spelling, Writing and Math) Monday- 1. Students will have Mrs. Walton's Math Homework. 2. Write Spelling Words (3) times each. 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Tuesday 1. Write a story -----What is your favorite thing you like about Spring?---Your story has to have 10 sentences. Make it a good story. 2. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Wednesday 1.Write the spelling words in ABC Order. 2 Math worksheet-- Math worksheet---Math concepts we have covered in class. 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Thursday 1. Study our Spelling Words for our TEST on Friday. 2.Math worksheet--Math concepts we have covered in class. 3. READ (Please read for 10-15 minutes daily) Friday 1. No Homework--- Enjoy--- 2. Please read over the weekend.
