!!Ms. Drennan's 3rd Grade!! 
 
Scores on the practice EOG's show us we need to work on UNRAAVEL HARDER!
Continue to encourage your child to read and write a paragraph or two about what they read every night!  Our homework is a review of what we are covering in class.
We are practicing for EOG's by making our weekly tests longer and the UNRAAVEL strategy is part of their grade.  Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest daily.  We work hard at school everyday and I've noticed sometimes some children do not seem as "full of energy" as other days.  We are drinking water and doing "thinking" BRAIN exercises to help also.
 
  Please have your child read some to you. We seem to have gotten lazy in our reading and the majority of our class is falling behind!! 
 
In math we have been working on:  Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Patterns and Relationships, and Measurements--customary and metric. 
         We have really been working hard to accel on our Keeping Skills Sharp test that we take each week--our goal is to have everyone in our class make A or B on it!!  We are improving!!    YAHOO!! We had 16 students make "100"  February 26th!!!!
 
 
12 Powerful Words and UNRAAVEL from Larry Bell are two fabulous new strategies that we are using daily in our classroom.  If you have not already heard about the 12 Powerful Words ask your child to sing, show or tell you about them.
  Time is really flying by this year.
  We have a total of 22 students at this time.  We are all working with "rigor" to grow new dendrites to increase our knowledge in all subject areas!!!!
