So far we are having a super year in math, science, and social studies. Our field trip to Horizons Education Site was wonderful.  Students were engaged in hands-on activities for most of the day.  They did a wonderful job. 

 Our main focus this year in any subject is to learn the vocabulary.  Knowing and understanding the vocabulary will help tremendously on the EOG at the end of the year.  I know you are probably saying, "Why worry about this now?" , but doing vocabulary in small chunks will help.  We will also review throughout the year.  Sometimes I will review with an online program called Classscape.  This program allows them to practice test questions similar to what will be on the EOG in math and science.  

Don't forget First Quarter Progress reports go home September 29, in Tuesday folders.
