Weekly Homework

  New Changes to Homework Routine!

Your child will receive a packet of homework at the beginning of the week which will include a homework sheet, spelling paper, and math worksheets.

Homework will be checked off each day, but will not be collected until Friday.  The packet will stay in your child's agenda, so don't panic if you see homework from Monday still in there on Thursday. 

In order for your child to receive credit for reading each night, please write the title of the book and your signature on the homework sheet.  You no longer need to write this in the agenda.  All homework is due before the end of the week. 

In order for your child to participate in the weekly grade-level reward (Citizenship Club) on Friday they need to have all homework complete, have completed a project from their reading rubric, and have good behavior (no more than 2 yellow slips for the week).

Weekly Homework 

Monday - Write each spelling word 3 times each, math worksheet, read 15min.

Tuesday - Write each spelling word in a sentence, math worksheet, read 15 min.

Wednesday - Study for spelling test, math worksheet, read 15 min.

Thursday - Put spelling words in ABC order, math worksheet, read 15 min.

Friday - All homework due

Things to Remember:

• Spelling tests are given on Thursday.  If your child is given his or her test back they will need to study again for a retest on Friday.
  

• Please continue to send in your Box Tops and soda pop tabs.  This is an easy way to help support Overton.
