Third quarter has ended, and students are looking forward to Spring Break.  Report cards will be sent home on April 25th.  Things are really getting busy now, and your support is so critical for helping your child be prepared for first grade!

Reading:

     By now your child should know all of the letters and sounds.  Please practice at home.  We are also introducing 25 high frequency words:  a, the, I at, to, of, and, in, you, he, is, that, it, for, be, this, was, are, with, they, have, from, his, as, and on. Your child will need to be able to read and spell each of these words before the end of kindergarten.

Math:

     We are starting to work on the numbers 13-20.  Remember, your child will need to be able to count to 100 and recognize, write, and count out sets for numbers 1-30 by the end of kindergarten.  Please practice at home.

Science/Social Studies:

     We are studying Spring Weather and Easter.  Students look forward to a trip to Dan Nicholas Park on April 22nd.
