Kindergarten - Second Grade

We are concentrating on books about winter and snowy weather. 

We are reading "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats and doing a reader's theater of the story. We are also reading "Winter is the Warmest Season" by Lauren Stringer as well as "What's It Doing Outside?" by Marsha Elyn Wright.

Along with reading the previous books we are also working on high frequency words, reviewing our abc's, letter recognition and sounds, rhyming words, compound words, and segmenting/blending words.

Stay warm this winter season, curl up with your child, and read a good book for at least 20 minutes every night.
