WELCOME TO COMPUTER SKILLS & APPLICATIONS!
Computer Skills & Applications is composed of instructional modules designed to provide hands-on instruction in basic keyboarding skills, computer concepts and software applications. Students will be exposed to the following topics during 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade:
  • Orientation
  • Word Processing Software
  • Keyboarding
  • Desktop Publishing Software
  • Digital Literacy
  • Presentation Graphics Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  •  Database Software

For the Month of February:
 
6th Grade will be working on their Keyboarding Unit. They will learn about the touch method, proper posture, and proper work area arrangement, as well as, how to key the Alphabetic keys.
 
7th Grade will be working on thier Keyboarding Unit. They will be reviewing the skills they learned while they were in 6th Grade. Also, they will learn how to use the Numeric Keypad.
 
8th Grade will be working on thier Keyboarding Unit. They will be reviewing the skills they learned in 6th & 7th Grade, as well as, learning how to key the number and symbol keys.
