(Family Involvement Starts Here)




**We are having such a great year!!  Your children are earning shields from the enhancement teacher, PE, Music, Art, Media and Guidance.  I am getting to see a lot of improvements as well!!

Somethings to work on are name especially if I am writing which letters to practice.  Please try to read nightly and write in the reading log.  Your child will start having an extra book to read starting next week.  Please read and write in log so your child can bring home new books to read.  I can already see the correlation between students reading abilities and the amount of time parents spend reading, so it is very important to read with your child!!  I will help in any way possible just let me know what you need.

We have been learning letter in a much different fashion then the way they were taught in previous years. I will be sending home more supporting papers for you to reference; with writing the letters as well as the way we practice letters.  I look forward to setting up our first conferences when report cards come home.  We will get to create a plan specifically for your child so they will be on the road to success as life long learners! 

Remember homework is at least 3 things a week and then initial the tasks you completed.
 

**I want you to feel free to call, write or e-mail me with any concerns. 

Please watch the weather to make sure your child is dressed appropriately, we go outside everyday unless it is raining. The class as a whole has done well with wearing uniforms every day. Remember that the light jackets kept in the room should be a solid- navy, gray, or red. They must wear tennis shoes every day no dress shoes and belts should be black or brown.
