![]() Dear Parents/Guardians, Top o' the mornin' to ya! Happy St. Patrick's month! We have lots of exciting things going on this month so be sure to look for the invitations and other materials coming home with your child. The weather, now that it is finally getting warm, has been luring us outside to do many activities, but I do hope you are setting an example for your child each day by reading for a little while whether it is the newspaper, a magazine, or a good book. When your child reads, you can really assist him by asking him quesions such as "What would you have done differently in the book?" or "Tell me about several of the characters." If your child knows you are going to question him, he will learn to read carefully.
Thanks for all you do, Arlis Campbell, Reading Specialist |
