 Hello Parents and Students! So far this year is going great, hope that your child is finding science both fun and engaging. We have just finished our Adopt-An-Element project, be sure to ask your child about "their" element! We are currently discovering the uses of the Periodic Table before we go onto my favorite topic of the year, Chemical Reactions. Looks like we're mastering the 12 Powerful Words, ask your child to tell you what the mean.
With this being a gateway year for your 8th grader, we've come up with our own list of powerful words that span the spectrum of 8th grade curriculum
Parents: If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at taylorbh@rss.k12.nc.us or I can be reached during my planning time at 704.857.7038 between the hours of 11:15 - 1:00. Students: I have an open door policy. If you need help outside of class I am available from 7:45-8:15. Please make sure keep your science notebook organized! Not only will it be an easy grade, it also makes getting a good grade in science easy!
