This month Ms. Heilig will be taking over as a student teacher. She is currently in the Graduate program and UNC - Charlotte.
Please continue to read in reading books, book in a bag, and library books. Study spelling words every night.
Math - We will be understanding place value of tens and ones. We will start comparing and ordering numbers to 100. Continue to work on math facts.
Science & Social Studies - We will be studying Black History, President's Day, Dental Health and Nutrition during this month.

Class Rules
If you child has broken a classroom rule, it will be written in your child's agenda. Please discuss the broken rule with your child. We need to punish the behavior not the child. Our class rules are as follows:
1. Listen and follow directions.
2. Raise your hand.
3. Keep hands, feet, and comments to yourself.
4. Work quietly and neatly.
5. Sit properly.
6. Walk in a quiet, straight line.
7. No unnecessary tattling.
8. Excessive talking.
9. Use polite table manners.
Homework is sent home on Fridays and is due the following Thursday. It is okay to send homework in early, but make sure it is completed.
We have sight word tests and spelling tests weekly. Please make sure your child is studying these words daily.
Strive to do your best.
