Language Arts

Please read with your child every night.

Ask questions during and at the end of the book

1.  What are the characters?  

2.  What is the setting?

3.  What did you like about the book? favorite part?

4.  What was the problem?

5.  What was the solution?

6.  Was this story fact or fantasy?

7.  Summarize the story. (tell the short version)

8.  Does this story remind you of another story you have            read?

Practice handwriting and saying sounds.

Math

Practice counting and reading numbers up to 75.

Practice writing addition and subtraction sentences.

  

Homework folders will go home on Fridays and will need to be returned the following Thursday.

Spelling and Sentence dictation tests are given on Thursdays.
