Here are a few questions that will help your child as they are writing:
Does my story make sense?
Did I use correct capitalization, spacing, and punctuation?
Did I focus on a "small moment" story?
Did I include many details in my writing and illustration?
Is my paper readable to others?
Did I edit my paper to correct mistakes and add details that I forgot?

**REMINDERS**
-Please check your child's agenda each night.
-Your child's book in a bag will come home each Wednesday. This book will be on their level, so please let them read it to YOU!
-When you read a library book, please sign your name and the book's name on the correct  day in the green folder. Then, return it to school so your child may get a new book. Only one book is to be checked out at a time.
-Please make sure your child completes their homework each night. We will have homework  every day except Friday and over holidays. Sometimes this may require your help, and other  times they may be able to do it on their own.
-Read to your child--they enjoy it, even though they are reading on their own!
