Terms are due Monday October 26 I could not get them to load as a file so here they are: New Set Culture Cultural Trait Technology Cultural Landscape Agriculture Social structure Nuclear Family Extended Family Ethics Patriarchal Matriarchal Economics Capitalism Socialism Communism Democracy Direct Representative Dictator Renaissance Feudalism Serf Knight Vassal Noble Dialect Ethnic Group Peninsula Whats news? The students will be working on a one page paper and classroom presentation concerning a country in Europe. These presentations will begin on November 18. Between now and then we will visit the media center and we will have periods in which we will collect information from resources in the class room. Students are also encouraged to use the Internet at home when possible. I have attached a file describing the project and the rubric below. I am encouraging creativity. Some of the students have discussed making food, bringing in artifacts, and interviewing relatives. These are all wonderful ideas and will contribute to great presentations. On a daily basis, we will continue to discuss the background and foundations of Europe to try to understand how this small continent has become so influential. Peace Jim Wohlgemuth |
