Write all 10 words in ABC order. as, with, his, they, I, at, be, this, have, from Math: Complete math pages 19 & 20 about subtraction. Reading: Read A Party for Bob on pages 112-131 and verbally answer the questions at the end of the story. You are expected to read 4 out of 7 nights each week. We check this from Sunday to Sunday. Don't forget to write the title of the book on the correct date of the October calendar in the agenda. Word Family: This week's word family is the -in family. You are expected to write at least 10 -in words on your spelling test this Thursday. (pumpkin, thin, shin, pin, bin, etc.) Social Studies: Complete the sheet called Fire Safety At Home to practice writing and memorizing your address.
Homework goes home on Monday and should be returned on Friday.
*WHAT'S UP?* PLEASE! be sure to send your child to school with a snack EVERY DAY. We eat lunch so early that your child may be hungry in the afternoon. Monday, October 10: School visits fire department Tuesday, October 11: School Picture Day - dress nicely! Wednesday, October 12: United Way Hat Day. Pay $1 to wear your favorite hat in school. Friday, October 14: Desserts are due for Fall Festival. Saturday, October 15: Fall Festival (Parents! We need your help!) Thursday, October 27: First Grade field trip to Lazy 5 Ranch - Students will need to bring in $3.75 for half of the cost of the trip. Look for notes that will be going home about details of the trip.
