Topic:  Brain-Smart Foods that Maximize Learning

Discover the link between nutrition and learning. Explore    how certain foods can boost and improve students’ short-

  and long-term memory. Did you know that “as we eat, so

shall we think?” You will learn why this is true! You will

also receive a list of excellent snacks for your child along

a list of the fourteen top foods to eat and the research

behind how food affects learning. 

Presenter:  LeAnn Nickelson, Maximize Learning, Inc.

LeAnn is a certified educator, administrator, and brain research trainer.

JUST A REMINDER:
 
*No school January 18th, 21st, and 22nd.
*Students will be taking a ClassScape Assessment in the Computer Lab on Mon., Jan.25th and Tues., Jan.26th.
*FALCON sheets should not be signed 
until January 28th.
*REWARD DAY will be Friday, Jan. 29th.
* REPORT CARDS go home February 2nd.

* Make-up day for being out Monday, Jan.25th will be February 15th.

Let's not forget to replenish school supplies throughout the year!
We need pencils, pencils, and more pencils!!! 
You wouldn't believe the number of students that 
come to class daily without a pencil!
Always ask your child if they need any other 
school supplies at all times.



Here are some things to remember daily and weekly:

3) An open mind, open ears, and open eyes
4) Your BRAIN ~ use it or lose it!
