Dream - Believe - Dare - Do!!

Concept for the year:  Relationships

November 23 - 24

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my HURLEY family!

Our theme for this year is Dream, Believe, Dare, Do - the Disney Way!  Walt Disney lived his life by setting goals, believing in himself, and accomplishing great things. 

 

Fourth/Fifth Grade Reading/Language Arts: On Monday, we will work in small groups to complete a Tuck Everlasting activity.  Our Tuck notebooks will be due on Tuesday. Fifth graders have a writing prompt to complete and all Comic Life book reports are due by Tuesday.  There will be no Spelling or Vocabulary for this short week.  On Tuesday, both grades will complete a Theme 2 assessment.  This will be used to help us determine what we need to work on for EOG preparation.

Math 4: No Singapore Math this week.  Our Monday class will be a group activity - Thanksgiving logic puzzle.  No math on Tuesday due to early release day.


Math 5: No Singapore Math or Math Stars this week. On Monday, we will take the Science Class Scape assessment in the computer lab.  No math on Tuesday because of early release day.

I am very proud of both fourth and fifth grade math students with their effort in our AIG Math Encounters problem this month.  Both problems have been sent in for competition.


I am always available to parents.  Please email me with any questions or concerns.  I post our week's activities by Monday morning of each week, and I post all homework assignments daily. Please check the box on this page to be notified to any change on this website.

p.9(bottom),12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20; WS for chapters 2 - 7.


Spelling 4:

Reading 5:  Tuck Notebook (due Tuesday) p.2(ch.4,5,6,7,8,9),

p.9(bottom),12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20; WS for chapters 2 - 7.

Writing 5:  Prompt - due Tuesday of next week.

Comic Life Book report due on Friday, November 20. (Will give until Tuesday because of computer use in the school.)

Vocabulary 5:

Math 4:  

Math 5:  WB # 39-40-41 -- due Tuesday
