WHAT'S GOING ON!

Native American Projects

Students in Mrs. Leak's homeroom are currently working on Native American Projects with Miss Scott,  our student teacher from Catawba College. Students have been doing research and taking notes in class, and are expected to put together a final project at home. We're excited to see the hard work of students and parents.

Pirate Projects

Students in Mrs. Bumgarner's homeroom class have been learning about Pirates with Miss Sanders, our student teacher from Catawba College. The students have been studying the landforms and structure of the Coastal Plains region of North Carolina to understand why Pirates chose to make NC their homes. They are also learning about how pirates lived from day to day. As a final activity they have been asked to create a Pirate flag, and also to write an autobiography of a pirate. They have been working on their stories in class and we are excited to see how they turn out.
